Why

The idea of osu!ghost has been floating around in my head for around 4 years by this point. I peaked in 2018 and barely got to play the game due to college and work eating all my time and energy. I have tried to get back in the grind multiple times, but it's really difficult to keep myself motivated without some sort of goal and without number go up™. So I built a discord bot to track my "rank per-session", but it was manual and did not have that competitiveness zest, so it wasn't super effective. One day, while binging some Wirtual videos (trackmania) I suddenly had a eureka moment and realized I could build something like speedrun leaderboards, a leaderboard that runs alongside the real one, and could provide some tools to help keep people motivated.

Number go up

The session board is the run you're on right now: first score to idle. While you're online it ranks you against everyone else mid-session, live. Go offline and your last session holds the spot. Want the long game? The global board stacks every session you've played here, climbing the more you show up.

Just play

No sign-up, no button. Set a ranked score while online and you're on the board. Go idle and the session wraps up. That's it.
